Since ancient times jade has been sought after for its durability, beauty, and rarity. This unique greenery stone is known as "lantian jade" and is sourced only from Lantian county of China's Shaanxi province. A variety of white jade, the stone's grey and green deposits are due to inclusions of serpentine and graphite, which give the stone beautifully irregular patterning and color.
